The Sky brooch is a must have statement piece. Wear the brooch the classic way on your coat or change it up and be creative and wear it on a head scarf, hat or dress.
Available via our bespoke services and inspired by an interpretation of Batik art married with Greek mythology and Egyptian mystery. The piece uses forming and fusing techniques with a rub over setting for the focal stone, which is Lapis Lazuli (Lazurite).
Lapis is the Latin word for "stone" and lazuli is the taken from an Arabian word, meaning "heaven" or "sky", since the sky is blue; therefore, it is the "stone of heaven" or "sky stone''. Lapis jewellery was also popular in ancient Egypt, and was a favorite stone for amulets and ornaments, and believe it or not, powdered lapis was used as eye shadow by Cleopatra.
