Originally inspired from an image of some steps in an architecture magazine featuring Moroccan buildings and homes; the lighting of the image and the shadow it cast on the marble stone of the staircase gave way to what became the Sophia pendant.
Research always starts with Greek mythology where we came across Goddess Sophia. It is in the Greek (Σοφíα) that Sophia has come to denote wisdom. It (or rather she, for wisdom is always feminine) is mentioned by Plato.
In fact philosophy (philo-sophia) is still known as the “love of wisdom.” In ancient Greece she was the Goddess of wisdom and knowledge
Available in sterling silver or plated in 18ct yellow gold and your choice of suede cord or leather. Length 26”.
Also available on line and in store with Wolf and Badger.
